Fair enough. I was just reacting a bit to “radical rightist blowhards.” You could have just said “conservative bias.”

If I posted a link to a film, and the trailer was ringing endorsements from Michael Moore, George Clooney, Sean Penn, Al Franken, Al Gore and the Dixie Chicks, what would your first thought be? To tell you the truth, I’d see the trailer as an advertisement that the film has a liberal bias – there’s just no other way to interpret that. As a liberal, it would make me want to go see the movie, but let’s be honest about what those characters indicate.

I am having a good laugh that you wonder if I am “real” and if I am connected with the White House.

Yes, I am real. Nope, I am not connected with the White House. I wish I was. I am just a middle-class son of a Chicago area construction worker sharing his thoughts.

I actually started this blog to talk about the Ideas that support and uphold Freedom. Unfortunately, I am preparing for a major overseas trip that will last for months and have been reduced mostly to quick comments on current events.

It seems that those have generated the most interest.

Your attempt to discredit that movie before I have seen it makes me want to see it all the more.

I don’t believe all Muslims are out to kill us anymore than I agree with your name calling against so called “radical rightist blowhards.”

Stereotyping doesn’t work for me. Not from liberals, not from conservatives.

Interesting that all of the commentators that they show endorsing the movie are radical rightist blowhards that have no credibility with anyone to the left of Strom Thurmond.

Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck? These are the people I turn to when I want to know what’s not true. Really, they’re great. Just listen to what they have to say, do a little fact checking, and it’s NOT TRUE! Almost every time,,,

I’ll see the movie when it comes on cable. Probably interesting. We all know that there are radicals that want to kill us. There are 1 billion muslims, a tiny minority want to kill us. 0.1% of a billion is a million people. Let’s try to remember that.

Back to our topic – how many of the nutjobs in the movie were Iraqi?

Of course I do, and if we are basing this on level of inhumanity, there are a lot worse dictators on this planet than Saddam, and who appointed/elected us the World’s Police Force? I don’t remember running for that. We have acted as a global force before, but at the behest of and in cooperation with the UN, not with a group of nations such as Belgium and former eastern bloc states. I have tremendous sympathy for tyrants, but only the oppressed can throw off the yoke of the oppressors. If they have it removed for them, they start squabbling about who gets the reins, just as has happened in Iraq.

Wait a minute, this administration said they KNEW where the WMDs were, why didn’t they have the inspectors go to where they KNEW the weapons were, and expose the whole thing? Go ahead, use your brain.

Interesting statements, and once again, I disagree for the most part. Sure, there IS bias in the media, it’s virtually impossible to eliminate, but they try. I understand how Faux News and Drudge are blatantly biased, and CNN is too, but much more subtly, yet I think without intention. The complaint about media bias is bandied about religiously, care to point out a few examples now? And as far as them questioning the President, I say it IMPROVES our credibility, because our public officials are held up to scrutiny, or at least they were before he Bush Ultra-Loyalists declared any questioning of the president, his policies, or anything else he touches is unamerican, unpatriotic and helping the terrorists. Can you grasp how offensive, ignorant and foolish such a reaction is?

That’s balogna, and you SHOULD know it. The howling and yowling that surrounded Clinton during his second term regarding something that had NO NATIONAL IMPORTANCE WHATSOEVER was no problem for you, as you referenced their honesty, but when people point out Bush’s lack of honesty, we need to respect the Office? Please, the Republicans blew that years ago.
And WhiteWater was investigated ad nauseum, how can a Republican appointed investigator have missed anything? Was there some impropriety? Probably, but after millions of of dollars, and years of investigating, what did the Rep find? You tell me.

But you have no problem assuming everyone who takes an opinion opposing yours does? Believe me, I vet the data I find, I check across 3 or 4 different media sources before I start to believe it, not simply spouting it because I saw in on Drudge. Blogs are intersting diversions, but don’t believe a damn word you read on one, check it out, IN DETAIL, I do, and so should everyone.

And don’t bother throwing Hillary up, she’s almost as bad as Bush, a divider, not a uniter.

I’m looking for Ron Paul, or perhaps Mark Warner to join the race, and give us a couple of candidates to be excited about.

I am a media jerk, actually. I blog. And I write for a magazine. I also teach English at a Catholic University, and at a community college.

The fact that I happen to be from Arkansas has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than it blows your argument.

And how am I to prove I’m not from White House??? Other than..thanks. I knew I was writing better than I used to but didn’t think it was that much better. Thanks because you think it’s good enough to be from the White House, not thanks that I should be there. I actually don’t like politicians much. Most of them lie and you know that because their lips move.

For the record, not that you will care but I like to make it clear, I HATE LIARS!!!! No matter who they are. I hate being lied to and I feel that we get lied to every time the news comes on, every time we think we have heard the truth, something happens to make me realize one more time that I cannot believe a thing I hear or see coming from media sources, most of them anyway.

So, RBS, prove you aren’t a media jerk. You sound just like one.
