“[T]he States can best govern our home concerns and the general government our foreign ones. I wish, therefore…never to see all offices transferred to Washington, where, further withdrawn from the eyes of the people, they may more secretly be bought and sold at market.”
– Thomas Jefferson (letter to Judge William Johnson, 12 June 1823)

I like this quote from President Jefferson. This is why I quit the Republican party back in 1996. Today I belong to the Constitution party. The Republican party has given into special interests and the special interests are now being fueled by money. Right to Life and the Christian Coalition are more into money than into what they stand for. If Americans really wanted change John McCain, Obama, and Clinton would not be the people we would be voting for this November.
We would be voting for people like Ralph Nader and Ron Paul. Nader, though I disagree w/his socialist views would bring change. Paul was the best choice the Republicans had to offer and he was booed away. Americans have turned into Lemmings. We are going to jump off a cliff and it will be because we signed our own death warrants towards life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I would rather vote for someone who holds to the values of people like George Washington, Gouverneur Morris, John Adams, Daniel Webster, Dr. Benjamin Rush, Richard Henry Lee and James Madison than vote for the three blind mice candidates.
