Very true. If we don't let go of the boat, it isn't trust, but if we don't have our trust in Jesus, we will sink. Thank and i really enjoyed read this.

Just for the record, I (ThirstyJon) didn't write this article. Ben Gilmore did. This is a "guest blogger" post by Ben. :-)

Thoughts for Steve: In the end, it matters what God is saying to you, not someone else. I have seen people end up really discouraged when they let someone else's "word from the Lord" be their guidance. As Loren Cunningham (in Is that Really You God?) quoted his mother as saying "With something this important, God will tell me Himself."

Thank you for such a great article!

The time has passed in which good people can side by and rely on others to work things out.

What we do now to stop the rapid deterioration of America at the hands of traitors elected through ignorance will make a big statement in history.

But the only correct way is God's way, just as you stated. And every precaution must be taken to insure the direction followed is the one in which He is leading.

God Bless

"The existence of a problem is NOT a mandate to take responsibility for a solution."

I am struggling with this. A friend is starting a new church. He prayed for guidance in calling on people to help him. My name was one of the ones that came to his mind. I felt this was a calling from God to join him in this church.

My wife (as well as myself) is just now starting to feel at home at a church we have attended for two years. I still feel like I should join him and help in the new church. But then, The existence of a problem is NOT a mandate to take responsibility for a solution.

Do I go to the new church or stay where I am? These questions were so much easier when it was just me. Now my wife and four kids are effected by my decisions.

Can I be “irresponsible” enough to trust God?

It might be easier if I knew for sure it was God calling me to this new church and not the pastor.
