I haven’t been a participant in the Tea Party Movement, although I’ve watched it from a distance with some curiosity. I figure anything that can stir up so much ire from the more liberal thinking crowd must be doing something right.
The one thing that bothered me in the video was when a man talked about it being worth it to neglect time with his children to promote this cause. He said “If I have to sacrifice the time with my children to do that, that’s what I will do.” That should have gotten left out of the video and someone should have pulled that guy aside and said “we can’t successfully preserve our values by neglecting them.”
Other than that, I’m curious. Maybe this will be 2010’s “Contract with America” movement.
