Are American Christians guilty of a shameful silence regarding Islamic Anti-Christian Persecution in the Post Arab Spring and Post Iraq War Middle East?
Joel McDurmon of AmericanVision.org seems to think the answer is yes:
**** WARNING – THE QUOTED ARTICLE CONTAINS VERY GRAPHIC IMAGES ****
Christians in the Middle East and Africa are being slaughtered, tortured, raped, kidnapped, beheaded, and forced to flee the birthplace of Christianity. One would think this horror might be consuming the pulpits and pews of American churches. Not so. The silence has been nearly deafening.
McDurmon shares his suspicion that popular American eschatological views are the reason. We have been taught to expect what is happening to happen. We have not really been taught to do much about it.
He advocates working to change that.
I think I am being persuaded.
How about you?
