What would you say if a news story broke that involved a Mexican commando unit raiding a house in Oklahoma somewhere and killing some high profile enemies of Mexico?

You can be assured that Americans would be “up in arms” about this. We would be furious.

I could write about a number of reasons why the raid in Pakistan to kill Osama Bin Laden was a valid act according to good principles, but for the moment I want to set those aside.

For the sake of humility and understanding realize how you would feel if Mexico did that and then understand how some in Pakistan could feel.

While the raid may have been right, we should not take lightly the very important idea of “National Sovereignty” and we should be very hesitant to violate it accept in the most extreme of circumstances. Then afterwords we should understand how the people of that nation might feel.

Probably many in Pakistan agree with the raid, but I can understand why some would not.

Something to think about.

Passion erupted in America in opposition to ObamaCare. It appears that this passion is waning.

From WND.com: (The WND article relies on a Rasmussen Reports survey.)

Outrage over the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly called “Obamacare,” gave rise the tea-party movement and fueled a historic cleaning out of Congress in 2010, but new poll data shows the fervor is fading, as fewer and fewer Americans demand the controversial health-care reform’s repeal.

For the first time since the act was passed, a new Rasmussen Reports poll shows, less than half of respondents are demanding an end to Obamacare.

According to Rasmussen’s weekly survey of 1,000 likely voters – the most recent taken on April 29th and 30th – now only 47 percent of respondents favor repeal, while 42 percent want to keep the legislation.

Furthermore, the opposition to repeal has hovered around 40 percent for more than a year, but the percentage of those who want to reverse Obamacare has been steadily declining – from a peak of 63 percent last May, to the low 50s early last month, to 47 percent by the end of April.

This is why it is so important for us to teach and spread Principle. ObamaCare is just as much of a disaster now as it was when it was passed. There is quite literally a long term war going on between two very different ideas about the role of the national government in our lives. One set of ideas will lead to greater and greater tyranny, the other will lead to liberty and personal responsibility.

I urge you to consider principles and maintain a long term opposition to ObamaCare.

I suspect that the law was deliberately written in such a way as to leave time in it’s implementation for opposition to wane.

Social Security and Medicare also evoked opposition, but even “conservatives” tend to generally support these things now.

If we don’t elect a new president and give the Senate an overwhelming Opposed-to-Obamacare majority I fear we will be stuck with this mistake and our children and grandchildren will grow up believing that they would not have health care without being slaves to the state.

Do you have the freedom to speak what you believe in America?

Yes. Errrr. Well. Sort of. You do unless Muslims might be violent if you speak.

From BigGovernment.com:

“Dearborn, Michigan has become a Sharia enclave, much like those populating many European countries. The city of Dearborn, Michigan denied a permit Wednesday for Qur’an-burning Pastor Terry Jones’ planned protest outside the Islamic Center of America on Good Friday.

“Islamic supremacists were handed a victory for their violent intimidation and threats. City spokeswoman Mary Laundroche said that Jones’ permit had been denied for ‘public safety reasons.’ In other words, they’re afraid Muslims will riot. And so the rights of free Americans have to be curtailed.

“Terry Jones burned a Qur’an. So what? What happened to the freedom of assembly, the freedom of speech, and the freedom of expression? Terry Jones is prohibited from rallying in Michigan for fear of Islamic violence. Is that how far down the Sharia rabbit hole we have gone? Why is it that any time American law comes into conflict with Islamic law, it is American law that has to give way?”
