I believe that the American People have made a tragic mistake in electing Barack Obama. I believe it is our duty as Christians to speak clearly and strongly in opposition to many of His positions over the next 4 years.
I also know that God loves Barack Obama and his family, and they are going to need our prayers. They will need God as a family, and Barack Obama will need our prayers as our President.
I wonder what God will do if we love, pray for, and bless our president, even as we express our disagreement and oppose immoral policies?
Love, oppose, speak, pray.
There is always hope.
I just joined the Facebook Group “Prayer for our President.” If you are on facebook, join us!
I agree 100%.
I just posted something similar on one of my two blogs after having visited several Facebook groups calling for the impeachment of Obama.
We are convinced that Barack Obama has always been and still is the right and the best choice. Moreover, human beings have no power over God’s final decisions.

ThirstyJon’s Response in Red:
Well, I can’t say that I in any shred of a way agree with your assertion that Obama was the right or the best choice. In fact, I disagree vehemently.
Whatever God may have chosen, it is clear to me that we – the American people – chose Barack Obama as our president. God is not responsible for our choice. In his Sovereignty He will work out everything for the the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Even though I am convinced that electing Barack Obama was a tragic error, I still agree that we need to pray for him. We need to pray that he will see things differently than he does now. We need to pray for his protection. We need to pray for supernatural wisdom that surpasses his own.
I agree, I have faith in Obama, and only through the support of all of us can we become strong to life us from this deep hole we are in… but I do not think people of this country should leave it up to a god to help us or our president out. only our fellow Americans can stand as one to help lead this country with our new president.
ThirstyJon’s Response in Blue:
Interesting Response Jeremy. You write that you agree, and then proceed to disagree with everything that I said. I’m not sure I understand where you are coming from here. I do not have faith in Obama. I disagree with him vehemently on many things and feel that I will be needing to speak out against his positions. However, I believe that we should pray for him anyway, because he will need God, and so will we all.
We agree too… my husband even created a web site to help keep a positive focus regarding this issue: http://www.prayingforbarack.com
Our president has great leadership qualities. To think, if the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ moved downward toward President Obama's heart. Pray daily for spiritual protection for him and his family and that they would embrace Christ. To think of the influence he could have at turning peoples' attention and thoughts toward God. Pray also that in the meantime he would make wise and godly decisions that will make our country strong again.
Thanks for your input Walks on Clouds.
I am very curious to know what are those leadership qualities that you see.
